Associate professor at the School of Architecture at UFMG (since 2012). Member of the faculty of NPGAU (Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism) – UFMG, as a permanent professor, advising master’s and doctoral students. She is a Research Productivity Fellow 2 at CNPq. Coordinator of the Cosmópolis research group (UFMG/CNPq), based at the School of Architecture at UFMG. Coordinates the research team for the Chronology of Urban Thought at UFMG. She works as a researcher at the Observatório das Metrópoles. She holds a degree in Architecture from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1989), a master’s degree in Philosophy from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1999), and a PhD in Philosophy from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2007), with a doctoral internship at McGill University, Montreal, CA (2005). Visiting Researcher at the Walter Benjamin Archive/ Akademie der Künste, Berlin (2025). Senior Fellow at Zukunftskolleg / Konstanz Universität (2025). She has experience in the field of Architecture and Urbanism, with an emphasis on Architectural Theory, History, and the Theory of the City, working mainly on the following topics: architectural theory, urban theory, urban planning, urban history, aesthetics, and critical urban theory. Her teaching activities focus on the theory and history of architecture and urbanism, with an emphasis on the relationship between architecture and philosophy, both aesthetic and political, particularly as explored by Walter Benjamin and Henri Lefebvre in philosophy and by Manfredo Tafuri in architecture. Author of the books Urbano-Constelação (2022), Enigma das Cidades (2023), Modos da Atenção: estética, política e crítica de arquitetura (2024). Deputy director of the UFMG School of Architecture (2016-2024).
